Couples 
Therapy

For couples just wanting to prevent problems from arising and for couples who need help to navigate relationship difficulties.

Couples come to therapy for all kinds of reasons.

  • To improve communication

  • To establish a common parenting style

  • To decide if they want to stay together or separate

  • To deal with the challenges of a blended family

  • To seek guidance regarding mental health issues

  • To improve connection

  • To resolve conflicts

  • To deal with child or adolescent behaviour

  • To navigate life transitions such as a new baby or retirement.

 

After an initial 50-minute intake session, couples attend weekly or fortnightly 75-minute sessions to a minimum of eight sessions. Couples are asked to commit to therapy and develop some therapeutic goals as well as individual and couple goals for the relationship.
