Cross Cultural Psychology understand the role of culture in  your mental health.

Culture plays a huge role in our everyday lives, especially if you are from a minority or diverse background, where cultural norms and expectations must be considered.

The experience of immigration will have shaped you and your experience of the world. It will affect how you see yourself in relation to others, and it has probably effected the opportunities you've been able to access.

Collectivist cultures generally place the importance of the group before that of the individual. Individualist cultures tend to place the rights of the individual over the group. This has implications for many areas of your life. Balancing these different value systems can be challenging and confronting.

Zenobia is a women of colour and an immigrant. She completed her Masters Dissertation in Cross-cultural psychology and is deeply interested in this area. Through her unique experience, she is able to quickly understand the pivotal role that culture plays in your personal situation.
